Lawrence's Criticism of the British Empire
The war left lawrence disenchanted with british policy. He was openly critical of the british government in seven pillars of wisdom. What he was calling attention to was the ways in which the ends of empire were being pursued at the expense of not just the ubject peoples, but rank and file british themselves. Lawrence was shedding light on the dark under belly of british imperialism.
