The US Monarchs in the Street There's No Law

There was a widespread starvation at that time right because we're having like horrible droughts and things. And so the US Monarchs in the street there is no law plus you have there's like a widespread starvation on your hands. It just seemed like a nightmare to a lot of Americans and Europe was just seen as such what they like the result of European squabbling and fighting. The president Monroe wasn't being unreasonable when he was like this is we don't want to let this happen. There were also racist reasons for it which one of which is that  the US didn't want any competition when it came to politically dominating Latin America.
