Forgiveness Is Easier Than Permission

How can we start this conversation with our child without perhaps sparking some shame and embarrassment? I would ask them questions. Hey, how's it going? How you doing? What happened to Sally, Jesse and Raphael? How can we not hang out with them anymore? If they share stuff that's hard, right, if they're like, well, they just won't talk to me anymore... Then later on, you're like, hey, you know what? I'm really kind of concerned about what you said with regard to the situation. That's helpful to keep in mind.
