Coinage in Britannia
The lack of coins is a possible support for the point of view that silico stripped the island of its defenders. It could indicate that there just weren't enough Roman troops in Britannia to allow for coinhords and whatnot. Or it could indicate that the army was mostly consisting of barbarians who were paid in land and other tangibles rather than coins.
