Jillian Shipwrecks - The Most Remarkable Find of the Season
Researchers in the North Sea have been trying to figure out whether wartime shipwrecks are polluting the water there. They focused on the V-1302 John Mon German ship that was sunk by the Royal Air Force in February of 1942. Next up, after being on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, dives and excavations have resumed at the site of the HMS Erebus. Researchers have recovered more than 275 artifacts, including an embossed leather folio with a quilt tucked inside.
