How to Speed Up Layout in JavaScript
The V8 engine for Chrome has a feature called de-optimization. It will actually roll back optimizations that no longer will work in certain implementations. In Firefox, we built the ability to run i-frames within pages first in independent threads, and then in independent processes as well. That would allow something that many other browsers couldn't do before.
