What's Happening in the Sun?

Every 11 years, the magnetic field of the sun flips. It's like a clock that's weird. And we don't know the source of it. We should be able to figure it out eventually. But, you know, like everything in the universe, at one level, it's a chaotic, buzzing insanity that can't possibly be described in simple terms. physics is taking this crazy, chaotic universe and trying to boil it down using approximate mathematical stories.
