Is There a Trade Off?

We should be looking at models that are fair, and then we can try to maximize utility or accuracy as best as we can. But i don't think that thinking about this cano trade off in a negative sense would help fort the long term adoption of these models. I personally believe that this is a collaborative effort, some of these ideas of fairness. We're not going to get rid of machine learning if it doesn't hurt your self interest very much. And i do feel that some amount of external regulation could actually help keep industry keeping sort of machine learning models in check.
