What Is a Strategy?

Some designers will just say like, hey, you know what, when you lose or sometimes you don't want to die in the hill, you pick your battles. But I refuse to believe that if something's got to give, it's something everyone else is willing to give. If you have the soft skills and you have the rigor of process to understand a problem, that's critically thinking that allows you to be strategic. You can negotiate with lawyers because they're not there to make your job harder than they're there to help you.
