Maxine Waters's Proposal to Give the Fed a New Mandate to Solve the Problem of Inequality

Maxine Waters wants the Fed to pursue policies that will basically redistribute wealth from whites to blacks. The Fed can't do anything about distribution of wealth nor should the government, I mean the government shouldn't even do it but in theory the government would have a way of taxing white people and giving them white and black people though if they actually targeted based on race they would clearly be unconstitutional. All the Fed can do is raise and lower interest rates. In fact everything the Fed is doing is disproportionately hurting African Americans because when you create inflation you have a disparate impact on the poor.
