The Role of Time Above the MIC in Pneumonia

For most drugs and we use siftolizane as an example here in the muri pneumonia studies, the time above the MIT required for one log kill was about 40%. The time above the MIC required for two log kills was about 50%. So it's really not that different. And probably if you threw a couple more organisms in there, the numbers would change plus or minus 5% here or there. But even in the murine studies, when we do a pneumonia model, we are translating the exposure and the plasma of a mouse to the CFU reductions in the lung. That may not be the case all the time.
