The Evidence for Social Intelligence
There's some other good evidence for social intelligence there one paper looked at the cognitive abilities of three-year-old humans and found that they were virtually identical to adult chimpanzees in terms of reasoning about the physical world solving physical problems. Three-year-olds had much greater capacities for social reasoning than adults. There's also the famous Dunbar's number so John Dunbar correlated group size with the volume of the neocortex in a bunch of different primate species the neocortex is pretty central to abstract thought and reasoning processes.
