Using Quasi Particles in Quantum Computers?
Quasi particles are not particles in the way that we think about them, but mathematically, they follow the same rules as particles. The kind of thing you can deposit energy into is like a sheet of plasma. And those sheets can have excited states sometimes, like ripples go through those sheets, and they act like particles. That's called an on yand i know what's kind of exciting about these materials is their application in things like quantum computers. There are certainly applications in quantum computers for some quasi particles.
