The Importance of Consequences in the Development of Welfareism
I was pretty surprised that there was like almost no discussion of worries about consequentialism more broadly, right? Like this is like a huge motivating factor for the development of Rawls' theory of justice. He's very keen on zeroing in on some real problems that arise when you like have utilitarian consequentialist sort of angle. I agree I'm a little unclear on like the content of flourishing that seems like something that I'd like to know a lot more about but I was given the sorts of critiques that she like anticipated and tried to like ward off in advance.
