How to Thank Your Grandpa for Going to Prison

I asked the girl what her grandpa had gone to jail for. She didn't know exactly, she just knew that he didn't talk much about it and neither did her mom. I then asked if I could go into the room with a guy to thank him personally. He was sitting in his wheelchair, not even looking to see who walked into the room. It looked like he was just kind of staring into space.
