You have a right to privacy and also your h r department can be helpful to you in figuring out what some of those boundaries are. A lot of people tend to be optimistic when talking with their managers about their own health issues. They want to feel healthy soon. So helping maybe plan be maybe even a plan c would be helpful for both you and the person, right? And i think there's also there's always value to in interest in general.

When an acute or chronic health issue disrupts our work life, how do we let our bosses and coworkers know? How vulnerable should we be? And, as managers, how do we best support an employee who discloses a diagnosis? We talk with two women who’ve had to consider these questions while navigating illnesses, and they share advice on disclosing and discussing health issues with colleagues.
