The Devil's Affair

The affair started as long ago as last week, frequent complaints from Nuh-uh-uh Valley. Something much carrying on and noise in a Chinese establishment led to police examination. The celestial's more subtle mind had arrived at other conclusions. She said she had been possessed of five devils and by the judicious application of tea leaves and the making of much noise on the dishpan. Four of them had been scared out by the time the police arrived.
