At 10 years old, i saw on television the assassination of president kennedy. And it made me wonder forever about the best strategies for for protection. What fascinated me was the physical, unseen aspects of how people could be protected. As i developed strategies and ideas and began to write on the topic, i saw that the strategies that applied to the people we protect also applied in far larger numbers to regular people. For example, a public figure in america is attacked, you know, on average every five years. But woman are murdered by a husband or boy friend on average every 5 hours. No crime in America is more preventable or predictable than spousal homicide.
