The Negative Prices of Wind and Solar Power

negative prices are going to be something that we see more and more of as wind and solar power makes up a bigger proportion of our energy supply. If we managed to become amazing at storing excess energy, we wouldn't end up in a situation where producers are having to pay people to use it up. But the real issue here is that if we were able to store all of the excess energy that gets produced at times like this, we could use it at times when it's less hot and sunny,. And then we would be much less likely to have to suffer through soaring prices when there's low supply and high demand, like in the winter of 2022.
