Government accused of a cover-up after telling Covid inquiry it did not have the pandemic notebooks and WhatsApp messages belonging to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The government has now launched legal proceedings to stop the material from being given to the inquiry, because what could be worse than an inquiry that has all the evidence it could possibly need?
