The Green Religion
There is a political benefit to saying things are worse. But I wonder why we do it? Is it religious? Is there something deep in the human soul that wants to be a victim? Where does that come from? That's a great question. And you mentioned the word religion, and I think that had placed into it an specific kind of religion. It is the green religion. The new green religion as an iteration of romanticism. It's a backlash against modernity.
