I was picked and measured and sized up for rowing back in the 90s. I'm from a long line of farmers on both sides, these people in my family is just intergenerational hard work and pragmatism. So there was no handouts but just this I guess long line of just stoicism and hard work so I just felt very natural to me because rowing is very much like that. You just shut up get on with it have a good attitude have a laugh and work really hard and get really comfortable with pain. Yeah be comfortable being uncomfortable that's 100% why even think about my dad this is a good example of that stoicism once he started rowing.
