i hear's something from a barbara cartlan's etiquette handbook from 19 62. It says, outward signs of grief shown by prolonged periods of mourning are not so conventional as they once were. But lindsay, i wonder if we can track how mourning rituals wax and wane through through history. Does at does that show in archaeology?
