The Fear of a New Normal in Politics
I think we are in a I don't know if we're at some sort of breaking point. We've been kind of on a downward glide path for a long time and so it's a it's a good conversation to have we should have it more. The fear is that as we go down that slope it becomes the new normal. Just this week conservative proposal by Pierre-Pouillier to deny bail for anyone who is accused of a second violent offense basically says we're going to throw out the presumption of innocence.
