I've never really even thought of patterns before, but as we were writing the articles it made more sense to me in my head. I think that a common critique right the patterns just in general have is that people feel like oh hey We're cramming them into every possible case where they may not necessarily have value. And one of the things we tried to get across for this book and that was really important was patterns are useful for solving very specific problems They are descriptive not prescriptive and if you don't have those problems There's no reason to be applying them.
