Data Reporting at the Times Union

Emily, Matt: I've been with Hearst newspapers for about six years now and in June of 2021 started this new role as a data reporter. Emily has worked at student paper there, interned out a few places and then ended up doing an internship or a co-op at Boston Globe. She spent about 10 years there doing a mix of data and investigative reporting and most recently on a spotlight team. This opportunity came along to work at Hearst with these lovely folks and a lot of really great talented colleagues across the Hearst network.
