What Is Explanatory Universality?

The laws of physics are comprehensible. We know that because of what I just said about computational universality. So all you need is the right programme to put in. But then what's explanatory universality? Well, it's a layer on top of that. It's what we have. Any physical system out there can be captured by a computer programme if only you know what the computer programme is. And so therefore effectively what people are, are virtual reality renderings of their models of the world. You don't have direct access to physical reality. There's this layer of interpretation between your mind which is doing the thoughts, the evidence that is coming into your senses and then physical reality.
