In the global north, carbon emissions per person attached to consumption are between 15 and 25 tons of carbon a year. And in the global south, they are between five and ten tonnes each year. This dynamic is very interesting from both a social as well as an economic perspective. It frames the way in which climate change needs to be discussed and talked about depending on where we are in the world.
