The Pine Martin's return has allowed the red squirrel, which was on a path towards extinction, to return. This is something that is watched with curiosity and wonder across these animals range because it's only happening in Ireland. Education programs by Ruth are paving the way for these two very intertwined species. Although the grey squirrels may never be completely gone, there's a new sense of balance unfolding here.
