The Importance of Gender Bias in Science
The first interesting and critical concept is the concept of gender, which is not to be confused with biological sex. And I guess the second concept then would be bias, right? Yes. The way we approach this typically is that first we see differences in representation and we establish that consistently in an area. So if you see that women are systematically underrepresented in the entirety of science over a 10 year period, then that's telling.
