Is There a Distrust of Nastalgia?
There seems to be kind of a distrust of nastalgia. Some of that is, i think, left over from its days of its being perhaps pathological. Politicians and corporatians are doing everything they can to tap into that nastalgic state. To exist in the present and envision the future, we have to have some sort of connection to the past. But we always aren't totally sure how things really were. And sometimes nastalga is a thing that cloaks or fogs historical reality.
