The best grounding piece of information you can hold on to is the fact that you are mortal, and I like to say at this point I'm 48, so I'm on the back half of my life. What I hope that people would write about me or say about me or whatever is that I was compassionate and helpful in situations where it didn't necessarily bring me any gain. If the goal is just to write a book, then I shouldn't do it because it's not going to be worth it. But if one person reads this and has an impact, then it's worth having done it.
