The Peter Principle
A lot of us study for years to become great engineers. And then we get elevated inside the organization to something that's entirely different. This is known as the Peter principle, right? We know some people go to engineer and then they go to engineering manager and then go back to engineer again. But I wouldn't Peter principle is more about people who shouldn't have the job that they have.
