The Russian Government's Use of Wagner in Ukraine
The Russian government is using Wagner, especially to act as a shield against public outrage over the conflict in Ukraine. The intent of this is a shield, but very strangely, I think what's happened is that Wagner's become very empowered by its involvement in these foreign conflicts. It has gained notoriety and popularity among some far-right settlements of Russian society,. And then also starting to have its own interests, separate from people.
