Savant Syndrome - Is There a Connection to Having a Photographic Memory?

The most common type of Savants are what's called calendrical Savants or human calendars. They can calculate the day of the week for any given date with a speed and accuracy that's pretty much uncanny. There's also a thing called hyper-thimesia, people who have an extremely detailed autobiographical memory. This is different from Savant Syndrome. These people will have very, very detailed memories and they don't have to try to remember them.
