What's the Difference Between the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament?

i'm wondering, what did you come across other passages oror theologies that would have led to us getting disconnected from the idea of rituals? Because i would guess that most cultures have historically had them. And then it seems uniquely protestant and in the last little bit of time, evangelical. There's this expectancy where the hebrew bible's filled with a history of people who have been grieving and who have these things. But i also can't help but remember, because it's a good bible trivial question to show, the shortest verse in the bible, things, john 11 35, maybe jesus wept. That's a srot thing to do, right?
