The Importance of Listening
I was drinking heavily at that time period in my life. That's when I started learning how to advocate for myself. You know, they tried diagnosing me bipolar and put me on lithium and all I did was pry. All I could do was weep and I was like, this is not the med for me. And then I had another, a new shrink, a new therapist. She helped me kind of see that, you know, I am entitled to be treated fairly and I do have a say what goes in my body. Lithium is a very strong drug. For some people it saves their life. So it's not, I mean, that's what I've heard
