The Importance of Race in Black Comedy
"I don't wake up in the morning thinking like I'm so Japanese today yeah I've never had that it's just that when I step outside I go to work and people are like oh can you be in this because we need like a non-white guy in here," he says. "That makes me think oh I'm different right you bring it up." A lot of black comedians talk about being gay or trans, which is why they're called marginalized groups. He also talks about how some white comics cater to gays by making them feel more comfortable with their sexual orientation.
