Consent in Dog Training

Consent has become one of those kind of trandy concepts in dog training. And it and for good reason, i think, a very, very good thing for us to be thinking about. I assume that they're consenting to something if they stay in the session when they could leave. If my dogs did leave, which is an extremely rare event, but if it happened, that would tell me i was pushing them too hard. Every dog has different tails, different things in their body language that tell you whether they're comfortable or not. So i'm reading those all the time as well, and trying to make sure of that my dog stays in their comfort zone. Sometimes we do
