The Name Satan Isn't Mentioned Until the Book of Numbers in the Bible

The name satan wasn't first mentioned until the book of numbers in the bible, and it was used as a term describing defiance. In job that satan is used to refer to the sort of prosecutor who is harassing job with god's permission. Then in the new testament, when jesus is in the desert, satan is brought up again as more of a distinct being. It's not clear if this is even the same satan who was harassing job, or if this is just another adversarial being who is being put in place to prosecute jesus the same way job was prosecuted,. And then shows up again at the end of revelations as like this more distinct anti god
