Building a Town Square for the World
I like that you talked about basketball courts because a lot of people, when they think about public spaces, first go to town halls or town squares. What people do in public space largely is they play, they make things together, they exercise, and if it's a library, they use the services. And I think part of the fundamental flaw of the way we've constructed social media so far is imagining that you can do one design, one algorithm that's going to work for 3 billion people around the world. That's what we're hoping.
