Is This a Good Year for Latino Directors?
This year we actually had a lot of films that should have been nominated. I think when you look at the director's category in particular, i thought he did a incredible job with tik tik boom for his derectorial debut. There is enough there to nominate along with supporting actors, et cetera. Yet none of these people were nominated. And so the question to me is, what do we have to do to get into these categories where we're usually not even though we put out great films? If this isn't a good banner year for directors, for latino directors, then what other years are we going to have we submit so many great films that they're not
