The New Testament - Elijah in the Restoration

John the Baptist is a bit of an Elijah. Jesus sees John as this Elijah character who is preparing the way. I love the fact that if you look at the history of the world and through the prophets, often it's people who are struggling in one way or another God calls to do his work. They put what they have forth on the altar; God multiplies their efforts and makes them need to be more like Christ.
