The argument by which we hold the Bible as authoritative, hinged on its uniqueness. And so it's a threat when we identify other creation accounts or flood stories. This is a threat to the authority of the Bible because we've tied the uniqueness to the authority. But what I'm hearing you say, Cameron, is it's our participation in the community and the tradition. It's not this top down, but there's this mutual accountability by which we have it as part of how we express our faith in community.
