Mae's Dying for Something to Happen
I wanted to try and do something different in this. I never thought about writing anymore about it though because I felt like with the stories, I really explored every single aspect of work. In many ways, all the seeds were there in terms of that feeling of there was nothing for you in Dublin. And wanting something to happen, which is very much the case here with this young woman, Mae, who's still at school. But she's just dying for something to happen. She definitely wants something to happen to have some idea about her self-confirmed in the world.
