What's the Difference Between China's Rise and the International Order?
I was wondering how that played out in your mind as you were writing the book, particularly in relation to this issue of norms. I think there's two dynamics of this issue. So one is in china's behavior and in the global south and in the middle east, anin africa in particular. And the other piece is actually in bilateral sino american relations. That's actually where the greater tension tends to be around some of these liberal norms. In practice, a lot of that is contingent on the particular kind of mood in places like washington, new york, london.
