Make Something for a Group of People, Not Everyone
I think it's important to accept that not everyone's going to like your work. A lot of people out there are pretty level headed and know that you don't have to like everyone's work, but you can still support them. There will be a few kind of trolls or critics who may shit on what you're doing, but you just got to kind of dismiss those people. The alternative is to try and make something for everyone, but 110% that is not where your best and most unique work is going to be.
