I think my mother did the best that she could. I saw Annie when I was seven years old and I wanted to be, you know, Andrew McCartill or one of those orphans. My grandma Sylvia took me to see theater, pyrosopensans, gree, everything. And it made me want to be on stage, but it was seeing Annie, a girl that was around my age. She also said, you can't try out for Annie because you're not the starving orphan type. But then I got famous for that very thing that she was so ashamed of.
