The Board of Review of Matthew's Forensic Psychiatry

The families of the five victims again left the herring bitterly disappointed. The idea that a person responsible for killing five people is allowed to walk the unfenced ons of this facility without any security personnel is beyond belief, one family member said. They wanted matthew de groud hospitalized indefinitely and the designation of high risk n c r applied to him. This would mean that he would get a review hearing every three years, instead of every one year. He was also given permission to go to calgary for medical visits. Despite these freedoms, the board did say that matthew was quite a significant threat to the safety of the public and is not entitled to an absolute discharge.
