Education Reform

If you go and look at what is the professed enthusiasms of people largely on the left when they're approaching education reform, it goes in the direction of leveling. Bill de Blasio early in his tenure spent an ungodly sum of money to help ostensibly build the floor. Some of that money I think was spent through his wife's nonprofit, which is a classic New York governance trick. People don't actually care about that part of the equation. And also those same people are very invested to make sure that the number of charter schools is capped has a limit. It's all messed up governance structure.
